Sweeter Than Miel

Sweeter Than Miel started before there was even a formal organization- the idea sparked from a moment of ministry as a mom during a summer break.

Growing up in a Latino home in the United States, Christina Leal learned Spanish like the rest of her second generation peers- in a “no sabo” kind of way. It wasn’t until she reached adulthood that she recognized the value of her heritage language and made an attempt to re-learn Spanish.

Fast forward a decade or so with two babies later..... trying to pass along her heritage, language, and faith, she realized she knew almost no Bible verses in Spanish. Her main goal in raising children is to honor God and raise disciples that will help bring others into His kingdom. She knew that she could help double the potential reach of the gospel through her family if they learned Bible verses in both English and Spanish.

Seeing that her daughter naturally learned through song, she searched and searched and searched for bilingual verse songs but found none. Charged with a mission to help equip the next generation of disciples with the ultimate weapon- the word of God that never returns void- she started creating bilingual verse songs to the verse of the week. The idea has now grown to blooming non-profit organization charged with the same mission.
